Fernando Haoa, born and raised in Rapa Nui is one of the founders of DISCOVER RAPA NUI ADVENTURE. Fernando (Nano) recognized the importance of sharing his culture with a different and exclusive twist: a natural, ecological and entertaining way; but he needed to find a method of bringing his dream project to life. To realize his dream he needed to find a group of people that believed in and had the same goals he had, which led him to come across his current business partner and co-founder.




Denise Ducaud, was born in Chile but was raised in the United States, visited the island six years ago and was immediately captivated by its beauty and mystery. She needed to find a way to share this amazing culture with the world and decided to make the documentary called “The Pride of Being Rapanui”, where she shows who the Rapanui really are, their culture and sense of pride, through a series of interviews with their own people.

Destiny crossed the professional paths of these two people, who went on to form a partnership that led to the creation of DISCOVER RAPA NUI ADVENTURE. The company combines cultural and logistical skills with a great deal of executive and organizational knowledge that offers the best way to share the ethnic, cultural and historic nature of Rapa Nui and it’s people.

DISCOVER RAPA NUI ADVENTURE was created in the year 2008, since then the company has gathered all the necessary information to bring the best special interest tour services to the island, making this company the first and only one to offer this type of tourism in Rapa Nui.

Our distinctive characteristic enables us to offer, “personalized tour programs” where the client chooses the itinerary according to their needs, interests and capacities. In this manner we can assure each party will be immersed in the real Rapa Nui world, getting to know every inch of the island along with our staff of Rapanui guides which are highly qualified professionals that accompany our clients throughout their journey.

DISCOVER RAPA NUI ADVENTURE is unique in offering lodging in traditional Rapa Nui homes. We have at our disposal 10 fully equipped rental homes in Hanga Roa town. With a capacity of 2 to 8 people per house, this is an exclusive alternative in lodging on the island. We also provide lodging at two of the best hotels on the island, if preferred.

Our guests are received at the airport upon their arrival with a warm characteristic welcome provided by our native staff. From there, they are transported to their residences to settle in as comfortably as possible and begin to live the real Rapa Nui adventure.
